They enjoy full sun and a cool winter rest to encourage flowering.

Named after American cactus collector George Engelmann. 

 

CACTUS CARE GUIDE:
  1. Cacti need sunshine, but on scorching days, give them some shade.
  2. Put cacti in bright spots like a greenhouse or on a windowsill.
  3. During winter, keep cacti cool and dry.
  4. Water moderately from March to October, but only when the soil is completely dry. 
  5. Stop watering in winter.
  6. Use well-draining soil for your cacti.
